Janine Vallières , Québec Canada

Native of Saint-Augustin, Quebec, having spent her early childhood surrounded by an enchanting environment, brooks, hills, thickets, Janine Vallières could only dream that one day she would immortalise these beauties of nature.   After having raised five children in Sainte -Therese Quebec, it is only later in life that she could carry out her ambition and give free course to her aspirations.  Autodidact, she takes part in various workshops where she meets several well known artists.   At the same time, she discovers an irresistible interest and an innate talent for oils and acrylics.  Gradually, Mrs. Vallières finds her means of expression and polishes her style there.  Her landscapes are painted meticulously and her paintings are impressed with wellbeing, observations of a nostalgic childhood. 

For more than 15 years, Janine Vallières has lived in Saint-Sauveur, charming village in the Quebec Laurentians, where she finds her inspiration.    It is there that she finds other forms of art which answer well to her style and her rhythm.  She obtained a certificate in Visual arts at UQUAM, has participated in many solo exhibitions in Sainte-Therese with great success, receiving three mentions of honour in Sainte-Anne-des Plaines, Saint-Eustache as well as in  Saint-Hyppolyte.  She participates in group exhibits in various places in the Quebec Laurentians.  Works of Mrs. Vallières are part of collections distributed throughout Canada and the United States.  Others crossed the borders and are found in Europe as well as in Asia.
