Born in 1940, Jean-Pierre Stern has been painting for more than 50 years already.  Student of Master Jean-Michel Atlan, Jean-Pierre Stern’s paintings evolve from figurative to a rather abstract pictorial expression. “I believe that the history and the creation of a work are never written in advance, they are revealed by the onlooker.  Today, my style tends completely towards the abstract, inexhaustible source of various interpretations, and opened to the imagination, the forms then take this unexpected appearance which differs according to the spectator”.
